Berchtold Day
Friday, Jan 2, 2026 · Cultural
Berchtold Day is a holiday in parts of Switzerland, celebrated on January 2, often as a calm extra day after New Year’s. One quick fact is that many families use it to visit friends, share a meal, or enjoy community events. Celebrating it is a sweet way to show students how different places welcome the new year and to foster a warm sense of togetherness and belonging.
