Chaharshanbe Suri is a Persian festival celebrated before Nowruz, the Persian New Year. People gather in the evening, light small fires, and jump over them as a symbol of letting go of negativity and welcoming health, light, and new beginnings. Learning about it at school helps Iranian and Persian students feel seen and proud of their traditions. For other students, it builds respect and cultural curiosity, and shows how different cultures celebrate hope, renewal, and community.
