Hijri New Year, also called Islamic New Year, marks the beginning of a new year in the Islamic calendar. In the classroom, it can be a nice chance for kids with Muslim roots to feel seen and proud of their heritage. It also gives other students a simple way to learn about different calendars, traditions, and family stories, while growing curiosity and respect for how people around the world mark new beginnings.
