National Indigenous Peoples Day

Sunday, Jun 21, 2026 · Cultural

National Indigenous Peoples Day is a day to celebrate the cultures, histories, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. In the classroom, it’s a meaningful chance to learn from Indigenous stories, traditions, and knowledge with respect. It helps Indigenous kids feel seen and valued, while giving other students a chance to grow their curiosity, understanding, and respect for the people who have cared for these lands for generations.
