National Only Child Day
Sunday, Apr 12, 2026 · Cultural
National Only Child Day is a day to recognize children who do not have siblings and the unique experiences of being an only child. Recognizing it in the classroom can help only children feel seen and included, while giving all children a chance to talk about different family experiences with kindness and respect. It can open warm conversations about how every family looks a little different, which helps grow belonging and understanding. It is observed on April 12.
