Nowruz is the Persian New Year and marks the first day of spring. Families prepare a special table called Haft-Seen, visit relatives, share meals, and welcome the new year with hope and fresh beginnings. It is celebrated in Iran and in many countries across Central and South Asia. Learning about Nowruz at school helps Persian students feel seen and proud of their culture. For other students, it builds respect and cultural curiosity, and shows how different cultures celebrate renewal, family, and the start of spring.
