Seollal (Korean New Year)

Tuesday, Feb 17, 2026 · Cultural

Seollal is the Korean Lunar New Year, a special time when families gather to welcome the new year, show respect to elders, and share traditional food and games. A cool fact is that many people wear hanbok, traditional Korean clothing, during the celebration. Recognizing Seollal at school helps Korean students and families feel seen and connected, and it also builds cultural curiosity and respect in other students.
