World Braille Day
Sunday, Jan 4, 2026 · Cultural
World Braille Day is on January 4 and honors Louis Braille, who created the Braille reading and writing system. One quick fact is that Braille uses raised dots that people read with their fingertips. Celebrating it at school is a simple way to teach inclusion and to help students understand how people who are blind or have low vision access books, learning, and independence.
