World Portuguese Language Day
Tuesday, May 5, 2026 · Cultural
World Portuguese Language Day is a chance to celebrate the Portuguese language and the many cultures and communities that speak it around the world. It can be a meaningful day to recognize in class because language carries stories, identity, and connection. Celebrating it helps some children feel proud of their language and culture, while inviting others to learn about it with interest and respect.
