Yom HaShoah
Monday, Apr 13, 2026 · Cultural
Yom HaShoah, also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day, is a time to remember the Jewish people who were killed in the Holocaust and to honor the importance of memory, dignity, and care for others. Recognizing it in the classroom can help Jewish children feel seen, respected, and connected to their history. It also gives children a gentle opportunity to learn why remembering hard parts of history matters, and how empathy, respect, and kindness help build a stronger sense of belonging for everyone.
